Nobel Peace Prize 2014

Hi friends!!!!
Today my article is going to be about Malala Yousafzai. This Pakistani girl is famous because she received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 for her struggle for the right of all children to education. She wanted everyone to had education and she fought against the talibans to obtain that.

Her story is very hard.
Some years ago Malala started writing an anonymous blog for the BBC’s Urdu Service, where she spokes about fears and hopes about continuing to go to school, she didn’t hesitate to express publicly her opinions about women rights. Also, she had participated in a national TV programme in which she spokes with courage about that.

Everything was find until the 9 of october of 2012. Malala was left school and she got on the bus that was waiting for her. She was back on the bus because her mother told her it was dangerous for her to go to home walking. While she was in the bus, two men stopped the bus asking for her. Both were talibans. They started shooting and finally they shot Malala in the head. The reason of the taliban attack was clear: This 16-year-old girl dared to raise her voice to defend the right to education of girls.

She was hospitalized immediately and she awakened from a coma in the middle of October. Her recovery was amazing, and she celebrated her 16th birthday with a speech in front of assembly of young people. In less than a year, she became in a global phenomenon. Her only desire was to do something for the education.

I have choosen talk about her because from my point of view it is incredible everything she have done, and also I think that she is one of the bravest person in the world. The thing that has drawn my attention most is how a young person like Malala has been able to be so brave and do all the things she has done. After everything that happened she didn’t give up.

The world need more people like Malala!
